Where Have I Been?

Okay — now I feel really bad. Not THIS bad:

but still really bad (keep reading…)

I was listening to the stars of A Better View on their first-ever webcast! Sarah Stirman was at the controls, and she mentioned that she was reading along with my Bible Journey, and that the Isaiah reading assignments were really heavy!

I’m sorry — I haven’t kept up very well at all so far, but I do have a bit of an excuse! You see, one of my best friends is an actor who hasn’t done much acting lately, until he tried out for a local production of Jekyll and Hyde — and won the lead role! After a couple of rehearsals, he calls me and says, “Nick, we have just the part for you! It’s a guy named Spider the pimp!” Needless to say, my mother-in-law was not at all amused at the prospect of me portraying a pimp on stage, and since the part also has a solo song (and I would not want to make all of central Kentucky suffer through that kind of excruciating torment), I turned it down.

“Nay nay!” says Dr. Henry Jekyll (otherwise known as Kenneth Drake). “You shall act!” Since I still love acting, I could hardly turn it down, and so I’m now Lord General Glossop, a member of the Board of Governors at St. Jude’s Hospital in London, all of whom are eventually (and gruesomely) slain by Edward Hyde. I only sing a little bit now, mostly in the chorus, so the good singers will hopefully drown me out! Here is our schedule: if you’re anywhere around here the last week of October, come check out your favorite Fumbler in his latest role!

I’ll be posting about the first part of Isaiah shortly, so stay tuned for more adventures on my Bible Journey!

in HIS love,
